ABOUT

THE MAISON

THE Maison
André Laug

La Maison was founded in Rome in 1968 by French couturier André Laug, who had previously worked as a designer in the ateliers of Nina Ricci and André Courrèges. This date marks the official entry of the couturier into the world of Italian Haute Couture. The entire world falls in love with Laug, who is dubbed the "Parisian of Rome.”

Our
Heritage

Laug was one of the most celebrated designers of the 1970s and 1980s. Martha Phillips, the most important American buyer, introduced him to the United States. André Laug's prêt-à-couture was sold in boutiques across Europe, the USA, and Japan.

Laug was a go-to designer for Audrey Hepburn and numerous other international actresses and socialites such as Jackie Kennedy, Barbara Bush, Lee Radziwill, Ivana Trump, Kathy Hilton, Capucine, Estée Lauder, Diana Ross, Carrol Baker, and Ira Furstenberg. His creations have become immortalized through the lenses of the world's most renowned photographers like Helmut Newton, Oliviero Toscani, Bob Krieger, Arthur Elgort, Patrick Demarchelier, Michel Comte, and David Bailey.

Today

Under the leadership of Laura and Vibaldo della Croce di Dojola, the current owners of the brand, André Laug has remained a benchmark for the Italian and international jet set, particularly in Italy, the United States, and the Middle East. The "premières" of André Laug are the brand's strength: their handmade work makes the Maison one of the last Italian Haute Couture companies that still represent the quality and value of true Made in Italy products, crafted entirely by hand.

Laura Della Croce has ensured continuity for the André Laug brand, which today is a "patrimoine vivant" SME. The Maison continues to create handmade and made to measure daywear, cocktail, evening, red carpet, and bridal gowns in its atelier in the heart of Rome.

The Vision

In 2028, André Laug will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary. On the eve of this important and historic milestone, the Maison continues to tell extraordinary stories through its garments, boasting unique expertise and know-how.

In the era of mass production, Laug remains dedicated to the quality of fabrics and handmade craftsmanship, thereby reinforcing its image as an exclusive, niche, and elite brand that once again stands out from the crowd!
